Turned 22 today..many thanks to those who sent along birthday wishes. It was a good day by any measure: I had a healthy appetite and the love of family and friends.
At 12pm, i met up with anna and adrina at holland village to lunch together..We were spoilt for choice as there were plenty of cafes to choose from..Eventually, we settled down at Essential Brew Tea Cafe & Restaurant..The place was very quiet, a complete opposite of what i had experienced when i came in the evening..

Despite the fact that it is located at Holland Village, I would say that the price of food here is rather reasonable and is definitely an ideal place for friends to hang out. The lightings and deco of the place set the perfect ambience for chilling out. The servings were good as well.
To kick off lunch, we ordered Breaded Mussels, Striploin Swizzle Sandwich, Berries of the Forest (floral tea), Dance of tea & double scoop New Zealand ice-cream [p.s. my camera is spoilt so wasn't able to take any pictures of the food] Would definately recommend the sandwich..Taking a bite on the sandwich with cheese and a slice of beef patty in between makes the meal so satisfying..And in case u're wondering what Dance of tea actually is..please don't be fooled by the name, it's actually chocolate milk tea...kind of regretted ordering it cos didnt find the drink any special from the ones you get from Sweet Talk...
The total bill for this satisfying meal came up to $41.85 :)

After lunch, adrina accompanied me to Orchard for shopping..though we didnt buy anything in the end, sis, it was fun shopping with you..hahaa...still remember we saw this lady in this pair of "unique" heels outside Charles & Keith @ Wisma...

Dinner was at Great World City around 9pm with another friend. This time was a restuarant which serves American cuisine. It's called
Country Spoon. As the name suggests, the decor is simple and even ordinary, giving diners a country side feel. The food was average and it's definately a place whereby i wouldn't go back a 2nd time.
Ans what comes after dinner is definately dessert. Been wanting to go to the Cheesecake Cafe @ East Coast for very long. Finally, today i've got the chance to satisfy my cravings.

A stone's throw away from Siglap centre, this place offers a range of cheesecakes. Didn't get a chance to look at the interior of the cafe though cos it was pretty crowded at that time. Many were working adults who were enjoying & relaxing over a slice of cheesecake after a hard day at work. Took a quick look at the menu, which came in the form of a dvd box (which i thought was very hard to read), before deciding upon ordering a slice of peanut butter cheesecake & chocolate cheesecake. I didn't like the peanut butter cheesecake. The taste of the peanut butter covered that of the cheesecak making me feel as though i was eating plain peanut butter. On the other hand, the chocolate cheesecake was yummilicious. The sweetness of chocolate together with the cheesecake was to my liking.
However, prices of the cakes are abit steep though, considering that you can get cheesecakes at half price after certain hours in quite a handful of cafes.
